Based on the northern edge of the Vale of Belvoir, Nottinghamshire since 1981 we have been serving customers throughout the East Midlands with both maintenance and new installation services.  We cover all aspects of heating, plumbing, bathroom and kitchen installations.

Richard Jayes  EngTech LCIBES, MIP RP

Richard has worked in the industry since leaving school in 1964. In the following 16 years, he gained a wealth of experience and knowledge working for two national companies as a contracts engineer, and later as a section leader.  In 1981 he founded this business, Jayes Heating, to serve the local community.  Richard has always taken continuous professional development seriously and now has an impressive list of qualifications:

  • Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Technicians Certificate (parts 1 and 2)
  • Central Heating Commercial Skills and Energy Efficiency certificate
      
• ACS Gas Safety as follows:

Richard, Managing Director, and now manages the business, preparing quotations and supporting the field engineers.

Richard enjoys outdoor pursuits including windsurfing and mountain biking.

Janet Jayes

Without her the business wouldn't exist!    Janet played an important role in establishing the business and supporting Richard in the early years. 

Having qualified with the NNEB and spent 10 years pursuing her career in caring for children with special educational needs, Janet has now moved back into the business and runs the office. She is the Company Secretary and has responsibility for all the day-to-day administration.

Married to Richard she has two adult daughters, Linda and Anna both of whom have now left the family home.  Linda lives in Canterbury and works in Sandwich, Kent. Anna is pursuing her new career in the travel industry in New Zealand.

Jonathan Hallam

Jonathan returned to Jayes Heating in 2007, having initially completed his training with us about 9 years ago. In the intervening period, Jonathan has run his own business and been involved with teaching within the plumbing trade. Now he has the responsibility of a young child, Jonathan has decided he needs the security of regular employment. He holds City and Guilds plumbing qualifications and has worked in the building and related industries since leaving school.

Jonathan holds the following ACS Domestic gas accreditation: Gas safety, Cooking appliances, Gas fires & water heaters, Gas meters & Central heating boilers.

In his spare time, Jonathan's interests include boxing, in which he has achieved considerable success in the past. Jonathan lives in Bingham with his partner and young son.
